The Beginning of SnooozeWorks

It's been two years since SnooozeWorks was started as a fun side project. It's quickly morphed into something so much more, and given opportunities for personal, professional, and spiritual growth. My name is Daniel, and I started SnooozeWorks in late 2016 as a creative outlet, and an avenue to release some of the pieces that I had been creating.

It all started with a single poster design, building into over 300 products across a multitude of types and styles. Throughout the first two years, I worked full-time during the day, in addition to attending University full-time in pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design. It was a lot of late nights and early mornings designing, printing, making, attending to customer service, taking care of finances. Eighty hour work weeks, but it never felt like work all that much. It was a passion, and it felt like I was living in a game.

going full-time

I decided to take my passion, and double down on it. It was time to put my full life into this business. It was a risk, of course, but it was worth it. Taking those forty hours from my day job and putting those into SnooozeWorks allowed me to add product lines, redesign storefronts and the website, and expanding the amount of products that we could sell.

You may notice throughout the website, I refer to "we", when really, the day-to-day operations are just a single person. But this wouldn't be possible without the help of those around me, particularly my family and friends who listen to my rambling and are the first to see designs I work on. My pup, Loki, and my two furbabies, Slugger and Baxter, are equally helpful in listening while I think out loud at all hours of the night. They've made going full time so much better, and I can't thank them enough.

moving forward

2020! We're heading into the new year and SnooozeWorks has lots of plans! I'll be putting together a little road map over the next week or so, and I'll post parts of that in here when it's finished! We already added new HUGE poster sizes, all the way up to 24"x36" and we'll be adding gift cards, new products, and maybe a few more surprises along the way!

Rest assured, we have a ton of stuff planned for this year and beyond! With your help and support, we look forward to crushing the start of the Roaring Twenties!
